In a tragic incident that unfolded in a convenience store located in Khlong Khloy, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province, a woman lost her life due to an electrical fault. Promptly responding to this unfortunate event, the store has now summoned an electrician to fix the faulty area.

The victim, a 34-year-old woman from Roi Et Province, had come to the store with a friend to purchase alcohol. During her visit, rge woman needed to use the restroom but could not locate one. She decided to urinate next to the store and was subsequently electrocuted, leading to her immediate death.

An examination of the body indicated burns on her left elbow, hip, and leg, indicating the lethal impact of the electrocution, reported Daily News.

After revisiting the scene of the incident on June 18, reporters encountered a local vendor who operated near the convenience store. The vendor expressed her shock and fear resulting from the previous night's incident. She had recently started her business in this area and admitted feeling afraid and cautious following the tragedy.

Patrons of the convenience store also expressed their concerns. They noted the seriousness of the fatal incident, pledging to exercise more caution during future visits.

That’s one way to get a pisser.  Lax attitude to safety is rife, and when you bring up how dangerous not having earths to metal equipment is they just look at you like they need you to leave immediately.

One headline that you will never see in Thailand:

"Convenience Store Fixes Electrical Fault BEFORE Tragic Customer Death"

In response to the tragedy and concerns raised, the store has taken action to prevent similar accidents from occurring in the future.

Incredibly kind and benevolent of the owners, to make sure future customers do not get wasted by their recklessness. An award should be given. A good citizenship award of sorts.

do you mean grounded like having a ground wire? That wouldn't have helped in this case if the other wire is exposed. Or grounded like having the wires underground.....That would be a good idea but I wonder how it looks if implemented in Thailand...underground tubes filled with water and rats and the bird nest of wires there underground?

Well...recklessness....peeing most probably drunk on some cables.......good citizen don't pee on the parking lot....

Store owner is of course wrong because next time it could be a kid playing there.....but else...just don't pee where you are not supposed to do it....or learn to pee in a wide arc so the electric doesn't kill you

They chuck these 7/11 stores up in a very short time, probably a new one. Could  have killed somebody if it was raining and they were near the wire or electrified pole. Never seem to kill the dogs always laying about!

  • not to mention the black isolation tape...., when they have to connect 3 or 4 wires.

no.....electric wet with some clean water is not that much of a problem. If it is a wire on the floor you could step on it with the flip flops. If it is a pole, it most probably ground most of the voltage itself when wet. And even with flip flops touching 220 Volt and grounding it with your feet will not kill you. With good shoes you can touch 220 Volt and work on it as long as you don't touch something else.

Peeing on it is of course something complete different

And while twisting wires together is not bad enough, that is also made sloppy, per hand....
