TM30 requirements do not depend on 90 day reporting. TM30 is required for any new adress (also temporary such as an overnight outside your Thai domicile) in Thailand except if returning to your Thai domicile from abroad or another place in Thailand under the same visa.

You might have a problem getting either without one.

No problem I have TM 30 never not had one !

So every time you leave your house address example

Going camping 2 days , then when you return to your house you have to tm30 again and again

Even if you have non  o ?

No.

Note there are couple of immigration offices that are ignoring change to TM30 rules that changed in June 2020 regarding to overnight + stays in another province along with international travel.

CM being one example.

Hi Dr Jack

That's lamphun IO

I asked again , they seem to think

Once you start reporting 90 day for the yearly extension, then no need to tm30

If going to another province for short stay and return.

Your first extension from a non O starts 90 day report clock.

For that first extension some offices will accept a rental agreement.

Some will want a TM30.

Seems you are on 12 month extension from a non O.

In that case you can travel to other provinces, stay away from your usual residence and do not need to file a TM30.

Also you can travel internationally and "protect" your permission of stay with a reentry permit and when return you do  NOT need to do a TM30.

If you change your usual address eg move to new location (change of address)  then you will do a TM30.

The simple answer is to find out the POLICY of your LOCAL IO

Usually a TM-30 IS reqired when you MOVE to a NEW address within 24 IO open hours.

I move on a Friday AFTER 18:00 so I have till the following Monday BEFORE the IO. closes to do a new TM-30 and I always file as possessor with related necessary documents.

Your landlord ( property owner ) is requied to file ( MANY do not ) ...BUT REMEMBER...YOU are responsible that ALL your paperwork is up to date

I have never had a TM30 in 15 years but just renewing my retirement visa extension in Pattaya the lady in IO said i needed one. No problem but a change of policy.

RE your statement 'I have never had a TM30 in 15 years'

When you apply for a Non Imm O Visa, or for an extension of your Permit to stay, the Imm Office will only provide you such service when they have evidence of the address where you are staying in their province.

The process for registering your address is done by providing Immigration with the TM-30 form and/or the accompagning documents that provide evidence of you staying at that address (e.g. a rental contract or a copy of he house-book with a signed copy of the Thai ID-card of the owner of the premises).

So if you are currently on a 1-year extension based on your original Non Imm O Visa for reason of retirement, you must have provided Immigration with some documentary evidence of your address.  And it is possible that you did not provide the TM-30 FORM but that Immigration did fill it in on their IO TM-30 database based on the address evidence you provided.

Do enlighten us with the correct information then!

If, as @edwardflory stated, you move to a new permanent address, when should you file a new TM30?

Read his post again.

BTW nice misquote.

You added significant word in regards PERMANENT.

TM30 is required if you change where you are living (registered address) .

Not required for stays out of province or international.

I read it clearly and understood his meaning the first time.

You mean, as in, when you MOVE to a NEW address
