The bigger problem may be that this is just the latest slimming fad. There were amphetamines, there was fen-phen in the 90s, people died from these things, but it took many years until they were taken off the market. The Economist recommends to put the whole of humanity on Semaglutide (I am not kidding, they even put it on their cover IIRC) - can you imagine a better way to make money? All humans lifelong on Ozempic? And can you imagine a bigger perversion? Substitute food by American junk, and then put the people who ingest that junk on medication?
