Large Truck Crashes in Chonburi and Traps Seriously Injured Driver and His Young Son

A large truck rear-ended another truck and trapped a seriously injured driver and his son inside the wreck. The accident took place in the Nong Mai Daeng Overpass in Klong Tamru sub-district of Mueang district, Chonburi province.

 

Sawang Boriboon rescuers rushed to the incident scene on Thursday, June 29th, to rescue two victims, Mr. Thongtham Kasemvimol, 52, a truck driver, and Mr. Pianpan Kasemvimol, 18, a passenger and son of Mr. Thongtham, after their truck crashed and trapped them inside.

 

The two victims were stuck in a white Hino truck after they accidentally rear-ended another truck and a taxi on an overpass. Thongtham and Pianpan both sustained serious injuries.

I was having food at a place nearby a big intersection only last night, near where Hwy 36 meets Sukhumvit actually... a badly designed junction  at best. Many trucks at sunset, most appeared to be driving fast and in my mind rather recklessly considering how much harm they can do... yes 2/3 up motorcycles  (no helmets) in the mix there too.

Well that's good news I suppose, it wasn't done on purpose. glad they pointed that out in the article...... one never knows here in L O Smashes.

How can you say this about Thai drivers.

They are always striving to find ways to keep alert.

More driving lights, horns and a vast array of coloured lights that usually fail to work.

All these and looking for a food stall where they can block traffic are the number one on their list  of priorities
