Removal of stalls from Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem pavements begins Monday

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) began dismantling about 110 stalls today (Monday), illegally located on pavements alongside the Phadung Krung Kasem Canal. They are being removed as part of the BMA’s plan to reclaim the pavement for pedestrians and to beautify the landscape along the canal.

Safety checks have been carried out on all escalators and elevators at Phuket Airport, following last week’s shocking incident at Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport. On Thursday, June 29, a female passenger in the domestic terminal of the DMK airport had to have part of her leg amputated after falling on a moving walkway, which trapped her leg.

Free travel period on Bangkok’s new MRT Yellow Line ends

A month-long free trial on the Yellow Line of Bangkok’s monorail system ends today, according to a Thai PBS World report. The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand will now introduce fares from 15 baht to 45 baht on the line, which covers 23 stations from Lat Phrao to Samrong in Samut Prakan.

Serial scammer uses dating apps to defraud women of over 50 million baht in car rental scam

Three women reported a scammer who fraudulently lured them into investing in cars for rental purposes and then disappeared, leaving them with massive debts. The unidentified man used online dating platforms to identify his victims, leaving almost 20 people defrauded and causing damages exceeding 50 million baht.
