JBL earbuds on Lazada genuine?

omnipresent

Recommended Posts

I've been looking for wireless earbuds and came across many JBL ones under 500 THB on Lazada. Normally they can cost around 100 to 200 USD elsewhere. Some of the listings have a lot of reviews with pictures.

Are the cheap ones on Lazada genuine? Has anyone had experience buying cheap JBL earbuds on Lazada?

but 15 usd for wireless

This one is just 299 THB and got a lot of reviews: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/jbl_live-pro-tws-30-bluetooth-earbuds-i3642589878-s13683025070.html. The seller seems to be reputable with high rating and 5.5k followers. Not all items in his shop are dirt cheap. Maybe old models are heavily discounted for clearance. Can you guys spot anything suspicious?

I'm not so sure about judging only by price as I have caught big bargains online in the past, e.g. last year I found earphones worth around 400 THB everywhere else that was selling at a discounted price of 69 THB at https://www.wemall.com/d/L91758917. That's around an 80% discount. Delivery was even free!

Here's a screenshot of my order:

I love these earphones as the bass is great, matching the good reviews I had read. I wanted to buy more pairs but there were only white ones left, then even they got sold out soon after.

Two things;

If it sounds too good to be true it probably isn't

and

You get what you pay for.

With that  being said, I bought a "JBL" Bluetooth speaker off of Lazada for 400 baht and not the usual 4-5+ thousand baht, the sound was "OK", but the battery life was crap, it wouldn't last a hour. Nowadays, I keep it outside in the garden and keep it plugged in and play music when I'm washing my dogs or some other minimal garden patio activity.

When it's family BBQ time or I have friends over I bring out the "real" speakers.

And you believe it is the real thing, same quality they sell everywhere around the night markeds and shops in malls? All real JBL?

As long you are happy, no worries

I bought a set of Bose blue tooth over-the-ear headphones from Lazada that usually cost $300. They work GREAT, and I only paid 700 baht for them. Are they genuine Bose? Of COURSE not, but I certainly got more than my money's worth. I mean, they have "Bose" stamped on them! ????

Even paying “full price” I still wouldn’t trust anything on Lazada to be genuine.

That's just silly.

There's heap of genuine stuff on Lazada if you know where to look.

People looking at stuff that's 10% of retail price and thinking they're genuine only have themselves to blame.

Go for it.

Wireless earbuds is a rip off. You can pay up to USD 500 and 18 months later the battery life will drop to 40 minutes max. And then you realise you need a new pair.

My sony after 3 years have dropped 20% only, and the quality compared to copy both sound and the noise cancelling can not be compared if any at all. But as said, if you are happy with copy, no need to change your mind.

Yes, the shop has a myriad of Chinese knockoffs (apple,Samsung, etc) that are priced so ridiculously low as to be obviously....... Cheap Chinese knockoffs.

If it's to good to be true, it probably is.

  Unfortunately.

There is several JBL earbuds modelsranging from inexpensive 50 usd to medium priced 200usd for ok quality.

Check the shop being a genuin one before buying, but 15 usd for wireless? Doubt it

If there's one thing that a buyer should check, it's the seller's credibility. Simply click the item that you want to buy or check then look at the “Sold by” section. If the seller's name under the Sold By section has the “LazMall/Flagship” badge, then rest assure that this is a legit item

Not necessarily. I sell on Lazada/Shopee. You never rest assured when buying something online. As clever as they are, scammers find a way!!! Sellers qualify for and need to pay extra to gain labels such as Lazada Mall etc. new sellers can’t qualify for a while which has nothing to do with whether they sell fake or genuine stuff.

Branded earbuds are ridiculously overpriced anyway. I’m still dumbfounded when reading that people are paying the equivalent of hundreds of US$ for them.
I guess people buy them for a certain cachet.
I haven’t tried US$200 earbuds, so cannot speak as to the quality of them.
But the brand in question tries to claim that the fakes will fail quickly. I guess they hope that will be a more successful ploy that asking you to support their high price because they are an American company.
Instead I bought some online, claiming 38dB ANC, for the equivalent of US$15.
That means that I can buy thirteen of them for US$200. Therefore not that worried if they fail. I haven’t even taken them out of the box yet. Clearly not an essential item ????

I'm looking to buy the Sony XM4 wireless headphones.

- Banana sells them for 11,000 baht.

- A Lazada seller(LazMall Audio & Gadget) sells them for 8,500 baht, currently 866 5 star ratings.

That's a savings of 65 EUR I wonder if buying from LazMall is worth the risk?

Those are the wireless earbuds. I'm looking at the wireless over the ear headphones - WH-1000XM4 vs. WF-1000XM4.

I like the over the ears headphones because

1. much longer batter life; 30 hours vs. 5 hours.

2. Option to plug in to device via wire.

3. Probably more comfortable. I've never enjoyed wearing earbuds.

or ฿8,990

11,990 Baht is the normal price
