Good morning,

it’s truly sad that the people voted majority for the Move Forward Party and corrupt politicians are going against the words of Democracy and Choice !!
Thailand appears to behaving like a Dictatorship !

But it does not appear, it is. Prayuth knew what he was doing when he gave UNelected senators the power to be king makers. That’s how people’s vote was hijacked by a bunch of parasites whose only raison d’être is to make sure Thailand remains stuck in the past.

Yep, and the dinosaurs will be able to patch any holes in their system this election exposed, ensuring a long time in power.

He walks worse then Biden

How could one explain Thai democracy?

In 1787 Thomas Jefferson wrote:

" What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

All we need is another Biden. This whole circus is an absolute disgrace.

As mentioned in other threads so even if they get him to become PM, the idea of a minority government which can't pass anything through the House of Representatives is absurd. How's that supposed to work?

It won't but it is the perfect solution to the end of military rule. If that happens then it will be all hell let loose pt and MFp supporter in the streets.

First chance they have no confidence motion and back to elections

55555! So funny, he can hardly walk and asleep a lot of the time. Thailand going the way of the US and Biden! Besides that; another ex general in charge, no surprises there!

Is there any provision in the Constitution that forbids Sleeping Beauty to be nominated for PM?

Potential shock as Deputy Prime Minister emerges as a contender with the potential support of senators.

He would be pretty much the worst that could happen, another round of lost years for Thailand.

  • Popular Post

How is it a shock that in nation that is controlled by elites and their henchmen that this guy emerges as the frontman-controller for this powerful elite.

So much for the possibility of positive progressive change for LOS.

He'll be naming old Prayut as a special advisor.

And so it goes....

Guess the dinosaurs aren't dying off.

The move forward party will get banned to make it work, just like their predecessors.

You mean which country Thailand will go to war with and lose? It could always deal with Myanmar which has been dreaming for many decades of reconquering the Thailand lost territories.

The obvious candidate - as the OP states, an avuncular figure, well matured in service to the Nation. Some 40 years as an infantry officer - the very model of a lean mean steely eyed killer.

Yet also a man who çombines his martial ardour with cultivating many interests and hobbies, a man who studies even whilst engaged in perilous demanding missions in the service of his country - why even when deployed along the Cambodian/Thai border during the campaign to secure the area from the ravages of the Khmer Rouge he made time to develop a keen interest in matters as diverse as local forestry practices and the gemstone industry. More recently a discreet devotion to the classical arts of horology have become known, though as ever his modest and unassuming nature limits widespread discussion of his efforts in this field.

It would be unfortunate if the demands of political service preclude him from participating in the Disney Corporation's long planned remake of " The Wind in the Willows" for the South East Asian market!

A true polymath, a man of his times!

"Poop poop"!

Thai people will need take action and not still or just talk, condemn or criticize. Surely they want a PM that they vote for?

They don't vote for PM, the army rigged that years ago, people favorable to the elite get to choose!

I can see that coming, but then light the blue touchpaper and stand well back, nothing but trouble ahead imho

Possible scenario that the party will be dissolved and the elected MPs will join other parties or MFP has already registered a party in anticipation of such legal jeopardy. The pro-democracy coalition will still hold the majority in Parliament.

Interested on how may abstentions we will see in that round of votes.

No surprise here.  Planned months ago.

Possible worst scenario. Parliament will be unworkable, people will take to the streets and coup d'etat number 15 will be initiated. The people will fight back. Thailand will become another Myanmar. This will spell the end of Thailand as we know it.

Pravit elected as PM until recently seemed to be a remote possibility. Leading a minority government that can't pass anything through the house.

Unless .........

Remember the 2nd complaint accepted by the Charter Court?

Accusing MF of

"attempting to overthrow the democratic system with His Majesty the King as the Head of State".

It would not surprise me at all if the

court rules in the affirmative, expels Pita and orders the dissolution of the Move Forward Party.

Problem solved!
