Popular Post webfact
Officials: 24/7 Entertainment Venues Approved at U-Tapao Only Rayong – The Thai Cabinet has approved a proposal to allow entertainment venues to operate 24-hours a day only in the U-Tapao International Airport area to boost tourism. Thai officials and entertainment association representatives have since clarified after the original proposal appeared to cover Pattaya as well that this is not, for now, the case. Mr. Damrongkiet Pinitkarn, a secretary of the Pattaya Entertainment Association, told the Pattaya News that the Thai cabinet HAS approved to allow 24-hour operation of entertainment venues but only in the U-Tapao International Airport area and planned to be developed airport city. This allowance is primarily to service passengers who are waiting for their flights so they can order alcohol to drink and not for all night and day beach and nightclubs. This proposal for 24-hour operations does not currently affect entertainment venues in Pattaya, Damrongkiet clarified. Damrongkiet did add that entertainment venue owners in Pattaya were still pursuing a legal 4:00 A.M. closing hours extension and zoning extensions in Pattaya which have already been formally requested to the appropriate agencies. Popular Post webfact
Pattaya entertainment venues near U-Tapao airport get 24-hour operations approval by Top Photo courtesy of Hanny Naibaho (Unsplash) In an effort to stimulate the tourism sector, the Thai Cabinet has given the nod to a proposal that promotes round-the-clock operations of Pattaya entertainment venues. However, this permit is specifically allocated to the region around U-Tapao International Airport. The allowance is aimed at servicing transient passengers who wish to enjoy a relaxing drink while awaiting their flight schedules, not extending to the operations of beach and nightclubs that are active both day and night, expressed Pattaya Entertainment Association Secretary, Damrongkiet Pinitkarn. Damrongkiet shed light on the fact that the 24-hour operations proposal does not currently extend to the entertainment establishments in Pattaya. But he swiftly followed this clarification with the revelation that the entertainment venue owners in Pattaya are ardently requesting for their operating closing hours to be extended to 4am legally. This request also ties up with zoning expansions in Pattaya, both of which have been primarily forwarded to the relevant agencies. However, the final decisions are pending till the country successfully transitions to a new government and Prime Minister. Popular Post jacko45k
And we have a picture of Walking Street. Which is rather far to go if you have a flight that evening. I am rather perplexed by this topic... as far as I know we do not have any entertainment venues near to U-Tapao airport, I also have concerns with the concept of having Go-Go Bars and beer bars available for those waiting for their flights..... on-board incidents will increase rather a lot. Just a filler topic? 9

Popular Post Andycoops
Another completely useless announcement from the Muppets. Hardly surprising as of course that airport is run by the military, navy. More cronism blatantly being shown as they know no shame. Meanwhile the real businesses providing a service to millions of tourists are left high and dry... 6 1 2

LALes
Glad to see this doesn't include Pattaya or Jomtien. How many times do they have to get shot down on this 4 AM attempt before they get the message? What a bunch of pathetic losers! Their only way to increase tourism is to sell more booze. KhunBENQ
What a frigging joke. Real life satire. U-Tapao still dead as a dodo but can open 24h. Do interested renters need a queue ticket But hey: maybe a master plan to move all the "filthy" business from Pattaya to U-Tapao with airport access 1

Emdog
Good. I hope there is not "zone creep" somehow getting into Pattaya city There is no good reason to have bars open 24/7. Hard core alcoholics can just learn to have a bottle at home for them if the bars shut at 2. Some people actually have lives, jobs, like to be about in daylight and don't enjoy being kept up by the blasting sound systems. If you can't get blotto enough by 2 am, then find a different sort of debilitating addiction
