Thammasat Group Launches Sign-Up Campaign To Put Off PM Vote For 10 Months

I know the rules and that they are changing senators. Why do you think you are the only one with that knowledge?

What I was referring to was the petition and sign campaign, as well as the thought such thing will put off PM vote.

The PM vote will have nothing to do with that at all. The voting will happen when the Constitutional Court has ruled and when Thailand´s 1%ers decide that should happen.

I don't disagree with most of your your comments.

Except your comment "I know the rules and that they are changing senators. Why do you think you are the only one with that knowledge?"

Your words are just rude. I didn't in any way suggest that I was/am the onlyt person with the knowledge about changing the senators.

In facts I only learned yesterday about the different (and welcome) method/law to replace the senate.

And I wanted to share that detail quickly because I was thinking it was not widely known.

Slow down...

  • That would mean 10 more months of status quo but then possibly a path to the people's choice.

  • A good solution, even if there not many people signing it. The action shows that the 8 parties are willing to wait and hold the country back for 10 months because of the senators.. They are the only o

  • I wonder if such a move, if decided upon by the current 8 party coalition and done with the most absolute & binding of resolutions to do so.......ALL the way, may mitigate predicted negative econo

I would like to know that too please. What happens to create a senate in May 2024?

Any idea

They will be voted in if the military is not ruling parliament. If the military rule I expect they status quo will remain with military appointments.

Best read the 2017 constution   When the senate time runs out they will still be there as a caretaker senate untill the new senat is apponted by committee and those on the committee are military no mps or civilians

so i can not see the point in waiting 10 months

Ok, Sorry! I slow down. I just thought it was widely known as it was published at the same time they started the thing.

Unfortunately, that will probably not be better, but as always a glimpse of hope, to be suddenly driven into the mud and forgotten.

No doubt the noose is tightening on the dinosaurs

public sentiment/ social media and their own mind boggling constitution will catch up with them in the near future I have no doubt
