In a startling discovery, three human skeletons were uncovered in concrete blocks at the central stadium in Nakhon Si Thammarat. During construction of a drainage system behind two soccer pitches, skeletal remains estimated to be a century old were uncovered, reported Siam Rath.

As digging progressed from the south towards the north, fragments resembling limbs and skulls emerged every 20-30 meters.

Authorities speculate that these remains belonged to individuals from a bygone era, buried long before the stadium's construction.

Historically, the land belonged to the noble "Chatti Trakarnkosol" family who donated it for the stadium's construction decades ago.

This region could have housed ancient graves or ancestral burial grounds. Interestingly, a similar burial site, belonging to a significant historical figure, lies nearby in the grounds of the Sri Thammarat School and dates back over 200 years.

Previously, a similar project in the vicinity led to the discovery of one set of remains, bringing the total count to four.

Officials have collected the skeletons for further investigation, collaborating with the Department of Fine Arts and the Ministry of Culture to ascertain the facts.

I remember years ago A Doctor had killed his wife , flushed some body parts

down a hotel toilet , and he was suspected of dumping some on a road out of

Bangkok , so the police put out an appeal for folks in the area to report any

body parts found , 6  sets of remains were quickly reported , crushed skulls,

burnt ,ect..the police basically said OK we have enough stop looking, makes you

wonder how many bodies there  are out there

Very much so. Reference (from the UK):

Experts are trying to solve the mystery behind dozens of skeletons, some with their hands tied behind backs, that were discovered in a mass grave at a Buckinghamshire building site.

Around 80 bodies were found in late 2019 on land being prepared for a new retirement development.

Experts know the skeletons date from between Roman times and the 18th century.

But they were not buried in an “organised” cemetery or given a Christian burial.
