At approximately 03:30 am on July 29th, '66, the Highway Patrol Police Division 2 received a report of a sedan crash on the Sirat Expressway, resulting in a 15-meter fall from the elevated road.

The accident occurred near the Kanga Plaibiangla junction, Rama 6 Road, in the Phaya Thai district of Bangkok. The officers and emergency responders rushed to the scene to provide aid, reported Siam Rath.

The incident took place at the spacious sports field area of the Prapa 2 toll gate, close to Soi Rama 30. They found a gray Honda Civic with its four tires blown out and severe frontal damage. The windshield and rear window were shattered. Upon inspection, they discovered one injured individual, the driver, identified as Mr. Wachirayan (last name withheld), aged 26 and a resident of Samut Prakan province.

Preliminary reports suggest that the car was driving towards the city on the Sirat Expressway from Ngam Wong Wan Road when it approached the Kanga Plaibiangla junction and plunged approximately 15 meters below.

The police will review CCTV footage on the expressway to determine the cause and interview the driver once his injuries permit. Alcohol tests will also be conducted to determine if it was a contributing factor in the incident, as further legal action will be taken accordingly.

Strange how many of these accidents happen on nearly deserted roads in the early hours of the morning. Now, why might that be?

Just taking the Honda out for a spin dear... see you in the morning.
