Pattaya — Two men dressed like bouncers were seen abandoning an unconscious woman exhibiting signs of shock on Pattaya Walking Street, raising grave concerns over her safety.

Sawang Boriboon rescue services rushed to the woman’s aide on Saturday, July 29th, after being notified of the incident by Good Samaritans. The Thai woman, 25-year-old Ms. Duangporn Saejeng, was found unconscious on Pattaya Walking Street at 9 AM, exhibiting signs of severe shock, with her body convulsing uncontrollably.

After trying unsuccessfully to wake her up, the rescue services rushed Duangporn to a local hospital. The Pattaya News interviewed an eyewitness, Ms. Sashikan Kanha, 25, about the incident. She stated that around 8 AM, she noticed two men dressed like bouncers carrying a woman who appeared to be unconscious.

Initially, they tried to bring her into Sashikan’s workplace, a fast-food restaurant located on Walking Street, but she resisted due to the restaurant’s protocols. After that, the two men just left the woman on the street and walked away.

  • Thai "men"? Are there any??? ????

  • Do you know that she was not having a health incident or perhaps had been spiked? Presuming she was in some venue prior, I would expect security to do a better job of helping her get medical assistanc

to many tequila shots maybe.  they could have at least put her in a cab.

The two Thai men acted without even an ounce of human decency.  At the very least they could have called for medical assistance.  Instead, they just abandoned her.

Some of the Thai venues are open pretty late, but I thought sun-up was it.

And the woman restaurant owner? Initially, they tried to bring her into Sashikan’s workplace, a fast-food restaurant located on Walking Street, but she resisted due to the restaurant’s protocols.

What wonderful people they are.

Not condoning what happened, but I can understand that the 2 man dumped her instead of calling an ambulance and have to foot the hospital bill for that woman.
Happens everywhere in Thailand.

You think that's an offence?!

Not enough info to form an opinion.   Devil's advocate, and her being unconscious may have been of her own doing, on a regular basis, in which case ...

... oh well.

Would the opinions be any different if it was some male alky always drinking himself to unconsciousness and dumped curbside out of a venue

Garbage, they would not have to pay her hospital bill.

Any 'Good Samaritan law' would only apply if they witnessed her body in distress.

"Thai Criminal Code: Misdemeanors (Sections 367-374)

Whoever sees any person in life-threatening danger, in spite of the ability to assist without fear of danger to oneself or the another person, refuses to render assistance shall be liable to imprisonment for not more than one month, or a fine not exceeding one thousand baht or both."

I stand corrected, apparently, it is!  Thanks Khun LA.

I doubt that it would, or could, ever be enforced, though.

30 baht is only for the basic healthcare.

If you need surgery or some serious healthcare you better have some $$$$

Still cheap as chips, though depending on location, Qs may be problem.   Wife had surgery recently and only extra was for the private room.   Rest was ridiculously inexpensive.

And the food was better than I had at BKK Hosp @ Udon Thani ????????????

Disagree here.

For many years now it is much safer to not get involved.

Sad but true.

Maybe I would have done the same when the heat is on?????????

Says a lot about the culture, doesn't it, when people are afraid to help.
