The Pheu Thai party has been the highest trending topic on social media in Thailand, since they announced their break from the Move Forward party, tearing up the MOU they both signed after the May 14th general election.

Many Pheu Thai supporters have turned to social media to make their profound dissatisfaction with Pheu Thai’s decision very clear.

The trending hashtag #เพื่อไทยการละคร (Pheu Thai the theatre) has been mentioned almost a million times, while #เพื่อใคร (for who?) and #มันจบแล้วครับ (it’s over) have been trending since last night across social media platforms.

Pheu Thai  set to follow the path trod by the Democrats and slip into the shadows at the next election, whenever that may be.

The powers that be are now going to find a way to completely hamstring Move Foreward and get them banned. The timing will probably be to collate as many trivial cases as they can against MF then just before the next election launch several at once to put MF on the rocks with no time to jump ship and avoid the wreck.

PTP to form the government, re-write the constitution and hold an early election will pacify the angry mob. Expect Pita to make a statement to clarify the reasons for the break up as a junta's evil plot.

Nobody who voted for them should be surprised that they only care about power and their criminal leader.

Its typical Pheu Thai they only want power and dont care about anything or anyone else it's all about them

What are you going to do with yourself now?

????????????

Thaksin, having embraced the dark side, is no longer public enemy number one for the right wing nutter brigade…., he is now their saviour, the only chance they have to prevent MF sweeping into power and sweeping away the inbuilt systemic corruption, nepotism and inequality that has filled their grubby pockets for decades.

Thaksin, via judicial corruption, will shortly have a squeaky clean criminal record and be the star attraction at all elite functions.

What are you going to do with yourself now?

????????????

Well worth listening to.

The PT leadership is short-sighted. The coup 9 years ago was mainly instigated to break the power of the Thaksin clan. And now the army senators should vote for the return of Thaksin? I have my doubts about that. On the other hand, the PT leadership betrays the 8-party coalition and destroys trust among them and their voters. If the pro-democracy parties abstain or oppose Srettha as PM, PT could left out and standing alone in the rain.

The 1st person I talked to today about this called PT traitors and they're finished. Fairly sure this feeling is very widespread.

Indeed I see more twists and turns

As of now there’s no confirmation of which parties are in PT’s proposed coalition

Many are jumping the gun calling PT traitors.

Nobody should be surprised that they:

Did not keep their word.

Broke election promises.

Stabbed their close allies in the back.

Went against the will of the people.

Put their own needs first before the needs of the country.

Arranged all this in advance by colluding at the last Leicester City game of the season.

Displayed total contempt for the electorate.

Like I stated on another thread, it's in their nature.

PT already publicly announced that they broke the MOU with Move Forward. They turned around on their prior declarations of standing together. They do not stand behind what they announced before. And why? Because all they want to do is get into power and get Thaksin back into the country and his court convictions nullified. Hardly jumping the gun. It's done. And now they have to deal with the deserved backlash from their own voters who rightfully can feel deceived and abused.

Maybe. Maybe Thaksin has a plan B. They will still get into be with the enemy. This is how people will see it.

what goes around comes around .... they (PT) should keep that in mind

I remembered the last time Pheu Thai

was the government and a majority in the House but still couldn’t get Taksin back. What change mate that they can do that this time with a weaker majority.

In a word, MF.

The elite fear MF so what better way to hold onto power than offer to bring Thaksin home in exchange for PT's loyalty to the elite. That must surely include at least Pravit with a befitting cabinet post.

I am not sure how they think they can do it. But they seem pretty convinced they can.

It’s puzzling considering that the reason for the failed coalition was due to the senates and not PTP. A lot more will happen till the next PM vote.

It’s interesting that both Ung Ing and Srettha are on record promoting PT’s policy to amend 112 to prevent it from being used as a political weapon. Thaksin, according to Wikileaks, told US Ambassador John that 112 needed to be abolished for Thailand ti have a hope of democracy. Amazing volts face by PT and Palang Pracharat which attacked Ung Ing and PT not long ago for their amendment stance which was affirmed and defended by the PT spokeswoman at the time. But Thais have very short memories when they can smell brown envelopes.

I think it’s clear that the government is powerless to grant that change.

Are you breaking into stoners private stock.

There is no way that MFP is going to bail thaksin out.

There is also no chance of an early election once PT is in power the only way they will disolve early is the usual coup.

Pitting the two anti-establishment parties and their supporters against each other is a savvy move by the powers that be.

This sounds eerily similar to a party and its criminally-encumbered leader in another big country an ocean away.
