SOON after the Constitutional Court postponed a hearing on accepting a petition on the constitutionality of a vote denying Move Forward leader Pita Limjaroenrat a second chance to be named prime minister from today Aug. 3 to Aug. 16, tomorrow’s scheduled House/Senate vote for prime minister too was put off, Naewna newspaper said.

IN A GRISLY discovery at a Koh Phangan rubbish dump today (Aug. 3) a body part was found in a blue plastic bag with police suspecting it belonged to a foreign man who had been killed and his body cut up and disposed not more than 48 hours ago, Amarin TV said.

On August 3rd at 3:30 am, Pattaya City Police were alerted about a distressed foreigner, threatening to leap from an 8-storey condo situated in Wat Boonkanjanaram Soi, Moo 12, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. Rescuers and Pattaya's Sawang Boriboon Foundation rushed to the scene.

Narathiwat witnessed a tragic incident recently as a fireworks storehouse exploded. The owners of the premises, a couple, Sompong Nakul and Piyanuch Peungwirawat, both 42 years old, are believed to have fled to Malaysia, according to the local police following the unfortunate fireworks explosion. There are also reports that their trade has connections with significant figures in the southern Thai province.
