Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan visited the firework explosion site in Narathiwat’s Sungai Kolok district on Monday.

He informed the people affected that he will seek cabinet approval for a debt moratorium, as part of the government assistance program.

Eleven people died and almost 400 people were wounded when tonnes of pyrotechnics being stored in a warehouse detonated on July 30th. The blast swept through residences and Manu market, causing extensive damage.

About a week or more late.

Someone wants a rocket up his ar*e as the rollie general appears to have grown an extra arm and leg ????

A day's outing to look for watch parts at the site.

Prawit is one step away from being PM and showing up for photo ops. The next PM?

He was in deep sleep when the explosion went off.

So the Generalissimo had a field day; once a soldier always a soldier. Might have missed the big bangs though this time again. Wondering, where they got their outfits as the tailor must have been working on a tight budget, as far as the cloth material is concerned. Well, how sporty of them to save unnecessary waste around the waist ????

His alarm did'nt go off.

Risking his life treading the site of the explosion will surely result in the award of a third lapel badge to put him on par with Uncle Tu.

What's a "week or more" when the election was 86 days ago?

Anyway, it's great to see Thailand's future PM doing the needful and looking truly statesmanlike while he's at it.

BTW, has anyone from the Pita Platoon or the Srettha Syndicate bothered to visit? Platitudes offered maybe? No?

And a total waste of space trying to look important.

As they are not in power, what do you expect them to do?

They've been meeting with business leaders from all sectors of Thai industry, attending rallies and other events and gladhanding with all sorts of entities so what's stopping them showing some concern here?

Wonder what their coopertest results are? Or was it  Tommy Coopertest?

I honestly have no idea.

A suggestion for you though.

Why don't you send them a message/email/whatever to ask the MFP/PTP what they are doing to help.

It is not much use asking anybody on ANN/TVF, as I doubt any poster here has any useful knowledge of their policy, regarding what they are doing about helping out there.

Might want to cut back on that chicken and rice portions for you and the crew there Tubby.
