Public should forget Pheu Thai’s pledge not to associate with Prayut and Prawit: Sereepisuth

Thai Liberal party leader Sereepisuth Temeeyaves has urged voters to let go of the Pheu Thai party’s election campaign promise not to work with General Prayut Chan-o-cha of United Thai Nation party or General Prawit Wongsuwan of Palang Pracharath party, aka the “Two Uncles”, if they want a new government to be formed quickly.

The former national police chief said that the election campaign is over and what the Pheu Thai party pledged then was intended to encourage people to vote “for the now”.

He added, however, that it is now the time for the selection of the prime minister and the formation of a new government and, therefore, people should be more open minded and forget the promises made regarding the two military-linked parties.

Promises for election will always be broken... see the best example here in Thailand. The only ones who keep their promise is MFP, but that are civilians and not wanted in the Government. PT has other intentions, which the main is to bring Thaksin back

I don't think anyone wants a new government to be formed that quickly.

What the heck is the point of a promise if you don't do afterwards what you promised to do?!

It turns an election promise into a marketing lie. A deception. A fraud.

Whenever you think it can't get more absurd something like this comes around. Unbelievable.

Not sure if I would live here if I didn't live here already.

What a tangled web.

So now people should follow and support politicians who lie to them for their vote and backstab those they enter an MOU with? To top it off, these voters should now be expected sell their souls to the devil by accepting the Junta members into their party?!?! So basically, integrity means nothing, power is everything, and the people should just accept that their vote means nothing? OK.

This from K. Sereepisuth, another dragon from the past, doesn't understand the new world, never will.

Believe it... TIT

Way I see it is that any party should be forced to hold true to their electoral promise or be forced from office. Electoral promises to get votes should be held liable legally - it is in essence fraud.

He understands, just doesn't like it. His life's work and legacy mirred with corruption, greed and crimes are at stake.

Trust in the system has dissapeared. These completely unhinged comments just reinforces that. Lie through your teeth is ok. People must forget the past. This bloke is certifiable.

Yes. Essentially the only government acceptable to the establishment (represented by the Senate) is one led by Prawit.

They will continue to manipulate the process until that is what they get.

Once they have got it they will "adjust" the lower house to enable the government to function under a veneer of parliamentary legitimacy.

Then, hey ho, onwards and upwards towards a reconstituted Senate with appropriate powers, most probably discarding the one term limit, and retaining the hold on selecting a Prime Minister.

Plus of course, multiple agencies and procedures deployed to emasculate the progressive movement.

This clown and his party garnered one, single seat (down from ten previously) with 0.92% of the votes.

Clueless.

… and that's why dinosaurs, brought up in a corruption culture, need to go...

You're forgetting the majority of MPs are in favour of a new constitution.

Exactly, though some on this forum still don't seem to understand it, and prefer to ridicule my post instead. Maybe they are army stooges.

And most people don't seem to want this old fascist to be part of it.

A bit of light-hearted banter over breakfast......

Me: "Knock knock."

Sereepisuth: "Who's there?"

Me: "Go **** yourself!!"

(I do apologize. I couldn't help myself.)
