The ASEAN leaders agreed that their countries' relations with China had gained momentum, and were willing to cooperate closely with China to achieve substantial development.

They said the China-ASEAN commemorative summit was an important event that would surely usher a new era in the development of the relationship between the two sides.

Over the past 13 years, more than 100 cooperation projects have been carried out based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, consultation, flexibility, pragmatism and sustainability. The completion of a group of landmark projects has promoted economic and social development and political mutual trust, and added a new driving force to GMS economic growth.

Zero Tariff Compact will bring more totally new opportunities for ASEAN members.
