Applause resounds as locals, particularly social media users, commend "Aunt Maem," the street sweeper with a heart of gold, for returning a collection of gold jewelry worth 6 Baht along with a gold pendant.

 

The heartwarming incident took place in Phetchabun town, drawing praise from the community, especially on social media. Upon receiving the news, Deputy Mayor Phataradon Khotsittanon expressed his appreciation, reported INN.

 

The event prompted admiration and gratitude for Aunt Maem's kind gesture. Also, gratitude was extended to Mr. Chaiyarut Mikanuch, 49, owner of "Uncle Ao's Kitchen," who guided Aunt Maem to report the find at the local police station. The gold was eventually returned to its rightful owner.

Aunt Maem, 55, a temporary municipal worker, shared that while sweeping around 5:00 AM, she discovered a plastic case containing gold jewelry near the entrance of a house. Despite her hesitation to touch it, she secured it in a plastic bin before seeking assistance.

 

Afterward, she informed the restaurant owner who then contacted the authorities. The successful return of the gold elicited tears of joy from Aunt Maem, who even called her son to proudly share the good deed.
