I'm using in view a desktop browser & it keeps asking for CAPTCHA-like verifications.

Seems like it doesnt recognize the IP address & think it's an unfamilar device logging in.

The phone carriers (DTAC, True, AIS) sell phones on their websites. And other websites like Power Buy, Big C, Tesco Lotus, Banana IT, as well as the Thai Apple/Samsung/etc. sell phones.

How is Lazada cumbersome? couldn't be easier using your phone to order

Actually Lazada is a minefield to navigate.  Often search results are not even close unless searching specific make/model.  Descriptions can not be trusted and are often totally wrong.  One place a brand name and then marked as no brand in another place.  Half truths.  Posted image/price for something totally different.  Some items with no Thai - some items set to Thai.  That said use often and believe a good platform - but you do have to be very careful of sellers and what you are actually buying.

I have found much better log on using Google rather than directly.  No problems at all now but indeed had same issues previously.

Try the Lazada app on your phone, it's easy, no smartphone? buy one, Lazada is best for that

Lazada looks nice but they do not seem to carry Samsung mobiles....

Another issue is delivery as depending on the area, I would not blindly trust it.

How does lazada deliver and I would rather have it delivered at a reliable pick-up point ?

Any ideas, suggestions, comments or critics ?

Why can't you see Samsung? i just did a quick search, came straight up.

As for delivery, your home works well unless obscure location maybe. Delivery to my condo in Pattaya is excellent

I've never used this option, but it's worth looking into if you can't trust the delivery in your are.

Find a shipper's office in your area (Flash, Kerry, LEX, Thai Post) get their info and use their "Drop Off" option.

I know Lazada but I find it cumbersome to use.

Any other local sites with good deals on new/used handsets?

.

Personally I wouldn't buy a phone online unless I already knew the exact model I wanted and I knew the supplier. There must be at least 20 independent mobile phone stores within 3km of my house, plus 2 (maybe more) True stores, 2 AIS stores, several within Lotus'sssss'ss and more in Tukcom and most markets. Then there are the specific Samsung, Oppio etc brand stores dotted around.

I buy 5 or 6 things a month on average from Lazada (2 today), but a phone I'd want boxed, legit, new, sealed, in my hand before I parted with any money. I once bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from invadeit.co.th but I knew that was the phone I wanted and I had previously spend 100s of 1000s of baht with them, so there was pretty much zero risk.

I will buy electronics on Lazada if:

1. LazMall Certified

2. 4 or 5 stars rating

3. Many items sold(at least in the hundreds)

4. On Sale(20% or more)

Right now I don't see any name brand smartphones for 20%+ off on Lazada. Banana usually has good sales on smartphones. Banana now has an Oppo Reno 8 Z, over 20% off.
