  • Most Americans want Trump found guilty. What then if the non-most (49.9%) want him for President?   Trump is no more dishonest or violent than other politicians. Every lie of his can be twis

  • Not as scary as Trump getting a second term.

  • From the article....   Majorities of Americans say the charges are 'serious' For one thing, large majorities of Americans say the crimes he’s been accused of are, in fact, “serious”:

Have you seen this Man? This Man is not to be approached as he is Dangerous and wanted for Theft, Tax Fraud, lying prostitution, and Treason, anyone sighting this criminal should ring the State of Giorgia Sheriffs Dept.

Looking forward to seeing what happens, but without a knowledgeable opinion myself. Being a former President, and with the leniency shown to Trump to date (no handcuffs, chains or other treatment usually given to offenders), would he be imprisoned or given a suspended sentence? I have seen presidents jailed in those infamous "sh*thole countries" he denigrates but not the USA - to date.

Any legal beagles want to give an informed opinion?

Let him run, and let him be defeated.

Ah, that was already tried. In fact most of trump's probelsm---and these charges---are BECAUSE he ran and lost. He could not accept being what his dad constantly called him: a LOSER.

The important thing is that the law be followed, no one is above it (the US isn't the UK where the monarch is above the law per the Magna Carta).

At the Federal level maybe----maybe---he could avoid jail if convicted, but in Georgia, conviction = mandatory jail. 5 years minimum for RICO convictions.

One of the US' major democratic allies---South Korea---has jailed 3 former leaders for crimes. Certainly the US can do the same if/when trump is found guilty.

Looks like Biden again which is very sad.  More Woke BS and no economic plan the U.S. is deteriorating.

Yes, a growing economy, lowest unemployment rate in 55 years, and consumer spending surprising to the upside.

Oh, and finally a bipartisan infrastructure plan.

Biden has actually surprised to the upside, despite having a quiet and not particularly effective inner circle.

Why bring up the B word its about Trump ?????

Actually, the infrastructure plan wasn't bipartisan at all. Which makes its passage under Biden even more impressive. Biden understands how to negotiate and drew on his long experience to do that.

Obviously, the GOP's only raison d'être is to hold power.

Their duplicity shows their disdain for their constituents.

They opposed the infrastructure law

'Now, some in the GOP court its cash. Republicans have cheered the arrival of new federal money to improve local roads, bridges, pipes, ports and internet connections, nearly two years after voting against those very investments'.

We can go back to Obama's time in office. After the midterm election, in 2014, the Republicans pushed for austerity in the wake of the greatest financial disaster since the Great Depression. You know, the Herbert Hoover approach. The results were predictable. Recovery was slowed immensely.

Errr, perhaps the relevance is that the subject of this forum, Trump aka rapist, four times arrested and mafioso Don is unbelievably still the defacto leader of the GOP.

I know what you mean. It's disgusting what Democrats are calling Republicans:

'Human scum:' Donald Trump has harsh comments for 'Never Trumper' Republicans

Having attacked some of his critics as "Do Nothing Democrats," President Donald Trump reserved a harsher term Wednesday for "Never Trumper Republicans" who continue to opposed him amid an impeachment inquiry.

"Human scum."

"The Never Trumper Republicans, though on respirators with not many left, are in certain ways worse and more dangerous for our Country than the Do Nothing Democrats," Trump tweeted Thursday.

Naaa it’s healing on the March and here’s a thought the op states most Americans want trump found guilty that’s a bit misleading in my opinion it should be most Americans think trump is guilty.and that sir is just by the obvious in your face in the public domain evidence seen so far not to mention what comes out of that man’s mouth on a daily basis my biggest gripe personally is the utter abject cowardice shown by the Republican Party and it’s taking to long to jail that traitor

I don't necessarily want Trump found guilty, I just want a fair trial(s).

This is a "fair trial" in the USA right now.

They shop the judge for someone who is predisposed to their verdict then pick a jurisdiction that is anti-Trump and load the jury with those who likewise are biased.

We're gonna give you a fair trial, followed by a first class hanging.

Tell me how a prosecutor can shop around for a judge?

Do you think the prosecutors wanted Judge Cannon?

A T____ victory next year would be the end of the GOP.  The biggest priority for a first-term US pres is re-election.  If he gets back in it will all be out in the open with paleo-conservatism and fundamentalist christianity.  Comparing it to Germany in the 1930s his second inauguration will be the night of the long knives.   The members of SCOTUS who are currently close to some sort of punishment for their corruption will emerge as the heroes of the new order.

Trump is no more dishonest or violent than other politicians. Every lie of his can be twisted into a crime if there is a will to prosecute and some flimsy element of male sexuality to go on.  Boil a criminal saga out of trifles like hiding an affair and being a sore loser at an election. It's not like Trump commanded terrorists or had more fraudulent business dealings than the norm, but the laws are so cancerous nowadays they can be used for anything.

Sure he is as clean as pure snow...everything he has done is perfect...it's those little things like stealing and refusing to return classified docs and lying about it for 18 months...that and trying to overturn the election in seven states and telling the big lie that the election was rigged without a bit of credible evidence...and then claiming it is all a big giant dem witch hunt in spite of almost every single witness being one of his hard core fellow repubs who voted for him and wanted him to win and still came forward and testified under oath and death threats as to trumps crimes...

other than that and being indicted in four separte states/venues by four separate grand juries for 91 and counting felonies he is just a fine fellow....oh and encouraging a violent attack on the capitol and refusing for hours to call it off and threatening judges jurors prosecutors witnessess etc...just a real role model that DJT

Oh boy...have u noticed that almost every single witness that has testified under oath are republicans? And that judge aileen cannon is a full on trumper who tried so hard to rule in his favor that she was overrued by a republican panel of judges?   And that trump was indicted by four separate grand juries in four different venues some lean dem some lean republ but ALL of them agreed that crimes were committed and were willing to testify under oath and get the ire and death threats of the maga morons?  I guess they all just wanted to join in the great dem witch hunt....

Who cares? Since when are court cases decided based on popularity or otherwise?
