samran Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 A friend needs to get a Thai police report (stating that he has no criminal record) for the time he has been living in Thailand (he's a long time British Expat). He needs it for a visa application. Is anyone aware of how you go about getting one of these? Do you go to the local police department, or is there an office at the National Police HQ? Cheers, Samran
JimGant Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 (edited) A friend needs to get a Thai police report (stating that he has no criminal record) for the time he has been living in Thailand (he's a long time British Expat). He needs it for a visa application. Presumably this is for a visa pertaining to teaching, as any other police report requirement AFAIK would be for a Non Imm O-A visa only obtainable outside Thailand, and in which case the police report would be from the cops in the country of application. Anyway, the following link is from the "Useful Immigration Information" pinned at the top of 'Thai Visa' forum: Thai Police Report Edited July 14, 2007 by JimGant
toasted Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 As I read it, the OP is inquiring about a report from the Thai police, to aid job seeking in the UK, for which one must apply at the Thai police HQ with passport and one passport photo. It's incredibly efficient! I'm sure it's been covered elsewhere on the forum. Takes about two weeks to get the letter, and they post it to you if you ask.
