The investigation was initiated after officers uncovered an online network involved in the trade of protected wildlife remains.

The person was found to have engaged in unlawful possession and trade of carcasses from various species, totaling 32 kilograms. Among the seized items were 25 pangolin carcasses (weighing 5kg), 10 bags containing porcupine remains (10kg), 5 bags with turtle remains (5kg), 1 bag of monitor lizard remains (5kg), and 1 bag containing soft-shelled turtle remains (7kg).

Investigations disclosed that the suspect's transactions were tied to a Facebook group, where they offered the carcasses for sale at a rate of 190 baht per kilogram.Law enforcement officials adopted the guise of buyers and coordinated a rendezvous at a nearby gas station to effect the apprehension. The presence of a suspicious vehicle also directed officers to the location.

The confiscated items, including the suspect's car and mobile phone, will serve as vital evidence for the ongoing investigative proceedings.
