Can anyone tell me what else I need to enter Thailand other then my passport and visa copy approval that I was sent? I guess what I am asking do I need to bring any documentation ie hotel, flights? I have a multiple entry tourist visa. Thanks

Passport with visa. Also wise to hang on to your boarding pass.

Theoretically you could be asked to show funds in cash.  ฿20k equiv. I believe.  Only happened to me once and very bizarrely I had arrived Business Class and used the BC express immigration....

The OP has a visa.

Did you have a visa when asked for proof of 20k..

The business class is completely irrelevant.

You require nothing.

You have a METV.

What do you imagine that you would need at departure or arrival?

Some folk may suggest have cash but it won't be asked for

Thank you that’s what I thought only reason I asked was some friends that go every year were asked for documentation and didn’t make any sense to me as you give al that when you apply for visa. Thanks for clarifying.

Exactly.

Even with a visa you can run into an A##h immigration officer.

I always suggest to have a travel itinerary to flop out.

Obvious moreso for visa exempt entry.

Chill .,with visa you will go straight through.

You (and your friend) are confusing two very different things
One is the documentation you provide to BUY the visa from the thai consulate you're applying at
the other is the documentation you can ASKED to provide when you stamp into the country (proof of onward travel, proof of funds, proof of lodging)
Visas are sold by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office but people are stamped IN to the country by the Immigration Division of the Royal Thai Police. Two completely different governmental agencies..

If you applied for an eVisa and got the email, print out the PDF <- (because that IS your visa) and hand it along with your passport to the officer when you stamp in. When they give your passport back make SURE you were stamped in with the code TR-60 and got a 60 day entry stamp ????
