Deputy police chief  Surachate Hakparn says Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin would like the police to serve the general public rather than influential people,  his comments came following yesterday's meeting, where
"The prime minister emphasized the need to suppress mafias and influential people so that the average person may have confidence in their own safety. 

 

MOVE Forward leader Pita Lim-jaroen-rat thanked the people of Rayong’ for giving his party’s candidate nearly 40,000 votes in the by-election held there last night.

One worker was killed and two injured after a crane collapsed at a construction site  and demolished part of an auditorium near Thong Lor in Bangkok yesterday afternoon. An investigation is underway to find the cause of the accident.

 

2 crewmen were reported missing following the sinking of a fishing boat off an Island south of Phuket yesterday, two other crew managed to swim ashore. The search continues for the two missing.

 

Over 500 cyclists participated in a 50 kilometer ride yesterday organized by the Hua Hin - Cha-am Tourism Business association and local authorities.


The event was aimed at promoting cycling  tourism around military areas and increasing awareness of environmental conservation
