These "news" reports simply cite old unproven allegation mostly from Rudy Guiliani. Zero proof.

Note that they are all recent. And one uses Shokin as a source.

I remember when Shokin was fired. You are trying to gaslight people here. Shame on you.

As your offerings are also unproven.

Why should Shokin's account be ignored? Because you say so?

You remember when Shokin was fired - so what? Don't play shame games.

Let's recap the bidding:

Shokin was fired due to the EU, IMF, US (including Republicans in Congress) and Poroshenko concluding that Shokin was not investigating Burisma.

In 2019, Rudy Guiliani went to Ukraine to try to make a story out of this (which is where the FD-1023 came from).

Apart from Rudy's fairy tales (Rudy is an admitted liar), you've got nothing.

Explainer: Biden, allies pushed out Ukrainian prosecutor because he didn't pursue corruption cases

Nov. 15, 2019 WASHINGTON – A whistleblower complaint centering on President Donald Trump's phone call with the Ukrainian president has spurred a number of allegations and counterallegations as Republicans and Democrats jockey for position amid an impeachment inquiry. At the heart of Congress' probe into the president's actions is his claim that former Vice President and 2020 Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden strong-armed the Ukrainian government to fire its top prosecutor in order to thwart an investigation into a company tied to his son, Hunter Biden. But sources ranging from former Obama administration officials to an anti-corruption advocate in Ukraine say the official, Viktor Shokin, was ousted for the opposite reason Trump and his allies claim. It wasn't because Shokin was investigating a natural gas company tied to Biden's son; it was because Shokin wasn't pursuing corruption among the country's politicians, according to a Ukrainian official and four former American officials who specialized in Ukraine and Europe. Shokin's inaction prompted international calls for his ouster and ultimately resulted in his removal by Ukraine's parliament. Without pressure from Joe Biden, European diplomats, the International Monetary Fund and other international organizations, Shokin would not have been fired, said Daria Kaleniuk, co-founder and executive director of the Anti Corruption Action Centre in Kiev.

"

The European Union has welcomed the dismissal of Ukraine's scandal-ridden prosecutor general and called for a crackdown on corruption, even as the country's political crisis deepened over efforts to form a new ruling coalition and appoint a new prime minister.

Ukraine's parliament voted overwhelmingly to fire Viktor Shokin, ridding the beleaguered prosecutor's office of a figure who is accused of blocking major cases against allies and influential figures and stymying moves to root out graft."

Republican senators echoed Biden in urging Ukrainian president to reform prosecutor general's office

The 2016 letter, sent by members of the Senate Ukraine Caucus, was signed by Republican Sens. Rob Portman, Mark Kirk and Ron Johnson, as well as Democratic Sens. Dick Durbin, Jeanne Shaheen, Chris Murphy, Sherrod Brown, and Richard Blumenthal and focused on longstanding issues of corruption in Ukraine and urged reforms of the government.

At a hearing in March 2016 on Ukrainian reforms, Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker, the Republican chair of the Committee who would one day become a top Trump critic within the GOP, raised concerns about corruption in Ukraine and said his hearing would delve into what pressure the U.S. could apply.

Shokin was already gone in 2015. Stop wasting my time.

Shokin was formally dismissed in a parliamentary vote on 29 March 2016.

Wow. Nasty and wrong in one short post.

So, why did Republicans in 2016 want Shokin fired?

Yes, my bad, formally gone (dismissed March) in 2016. Shokin actually resigned in mid February after Biden had forced that in Dec 2015. Poroshenko appointed Shokin only a year earlier.

Only a few RINOS signed the letter I think, which was after the resignation anyway.

Still no proof that Shokin was not investigating Burisma, despite all your propaganda and stories.

Okay, let's see some documentation of the Shokin investigation of Burisma.

We'll wait.

There was a lot of animosity on Ukraine against Shokin, because he never investigated the shooters of protestors during the Maidan revolution. The Burisma failure by Shokin was more important abroad, because of the corruption issue.

On top of it, there were much other issues with Shokin than just Burisma.

Apparently he came back and then was dismissed by the Parliament.

"despite President Poroshenko’s public call that day that Shokin resign and the apparent submission of a resignation letter on Feb. 19, media cited a prosecutor in Shokin’s office on March 16 saying the chief prosecutor was back after a “long leave.” Finally, on March 29, the Parliament voted overwhelmingly to approve Poroshenko’s recommendation to dismiss Shokin."

Anyone who really wants to understand what happened should read this timeline.
