The answer is that you save over a thousand baht a month. The TOT people told me the 1024/512 was slow because of the rainy season. BULL CRAP! They refused to downgrade me unless I went to their office. I did go and told them that if I was going to have slow service than I was going to pay for slow service. Since I have changed, I can tell no difference at all when surfing. I will say that the downloads are slower but I don't download much anyways. It's still crap service but at least it is cheaper at 1,500 per month rather that 2,600.
