bignok
A lot of them have very simple lives. Some seem happy, some not. What drives them?
CharlieH
Depends on where and what. The rural farmers, I suspect tradition and just doing what they've always done passed on from father to son etc. The more hi-so, probably power and position and CASH ! Popular Post nikmar
I ll take my Mother in law as an example. Apparently led a very poor life before she married. Even after, she never really had anything and has not been treated well. She lives with us now which im really very ok with. She finds her happiness in simple things. Cooking for her family - she cooks and delivers to her son as well. Meals with her family. Snack food - you see where im going here. She s had times of hardship and gone hungry before, so if there s rice in the pot, then she s happy. On top of that -, being with her family - grandkids , nieces , nephews etc. delight her. She s a woman of faith so simple Buddhist mantras make her feel fulfilled, and she takes pleasure in being kind to others. Basically, the simplest things in life make her day. I respect that and wish i could be more like her.
