Still one way, but there's always a motorbike or two running the wrong way.

Even before the roadworks wasn’t 2nd Road always one way  ?

My first visit was in 2004 and I can't remember anything but one way.

I've seen some decades old videos from the late 80s or so when there was both way traffic.

What I seem to have missed: there were some exceptional days with two ways for special events?

Beach Road 1 way 2nd Road the opposite way unless Beach Road is closed for an event.

Many years ago second road had a lane going in the opposite direction from Central road to North road.

one end used to have a lane for baht buses to drive the other way
years ago they also tried to make it 2 ways on 1 or 2 days of the week
it didn't last long, maybe a month if that.
they also make it 2way when certain events are taking place.

Depends how much booze I've had ????????????????

It was one way back then, and always hell to get across.

 

A few years later they decorated it here and there with xwalks and traffic lights.
