Officers from Bang Sue Police Station arrested two Hong Kong men in Bangkok’s Chatuchak district yesterday as they attempted to smuggle heroin to Australia through parcel delivery services.

A staff member at a delivery shop in Chatuchak Weekend Market urged police officers to visit the shop after two foreigners delivered 18 suspicious parcels to Australia. The staff slowed the service until officers arrived at the shop.

Police examined the suspicious packages and found heroin hidden inside. According to the police report, the suspects pretended to be delivering shirts to Australian customers.

They packed the drugs at the bottom of the boxes before covering them with black plastic sheeting and placing the shirts on top. The total amount of heroin discovered in these packages amounted to a staggering 1 kilogramme.

If you research the origins of Bangkok Bank...it was deeply entrenched in this illegal Golden Triangle trade of the 60's and 70's.

However, a lot of this incriminating evidence has been expunged on the internet due to 'power, fame, and fortune, and influence'. But my origins here began in 1992, when a lot of this info was still floating about.

1. One kilo is NOT a staggering amount.

2. They will be let go, if they have access to a few million baht, that they are able to donate to the RTPVF (RTP villa fund).

3. Or they will be sentenced to a very long time in a lovely Thai prison. Someplace you never, ever want to end up spending years in.

4. There are better ways to make a living. Like selling something that does not kill people and destroy families.

Heroin in Thailand...?

Yes indeed. Klong Toey has its fair share of, erm...'distributors'. How do I know? Because I once picked up a taxi in Ploen Chit and he asked if he could stop there to collect something from a market and would turn off the meter, since it was off Rama4 and that is one of the routes you could take to where I was going, I didn't mind as it was late and there wasn't much traffic. It was in a street with a big night market and he showed me what he had bought. That was not long after the Covid restrictions had been lifted. And no I am not making it up.

From China, arrested in Thailand and bound for Australia.  So where will they be tried and sentenced?  In China where they will get a bullet in the back of the head?  Or Thailand where the will stay in a hot, crowded prison for a few years?  Or will they get the jackpot - prison in Australia?
