At 10:00 AM, on October 17th, 2023, Mr. Anantchai Chaiyadej, a lawyer, filed a complaint report to the Thai National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) in the case of the appointment of the Thai Police Commissioner General on September 27th, 2023.

According to Anantchai, the complaint was due to the Royal Thai Police (RTP) officials holding the selection of the commissioner general of the Royal Thai Police not in accordance with Thai law.

Anantchai then filed a complaint to Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin about whether the use of authority was lawful or not and whether the leadership of a newly appointed commissioner general was honorable or not.

On September 27th, 2023, Srettha nominated Pol. Gen. Torsak Sukvimol, who was ranked 4th in seniority and had 10 years of service in investigations and suppression works, as the new commissioner general. Torsak also has only about a year until mandatory retirement.

No it was not lawful, and no it was not honorable. Whatcha gonna do about it? The system is rigged. We all know why he was appointed. It had nothing to do with merit.

It's about the pension plan...

According to the lawyer the succession was "not in accordance with constitutional law and is also contrary to the Royal Thai Police Act to nominate a new commissioner general regardless of seniority and profile." I am surprise that Big Joke was expecting the post knowing this..
