A DOZEN POLITICAL ACTIVISTS Sunday (Oct.22) gathered at Police Hospital in pursuit of the truth behind the “sickly” de facto Pheu Thai boss-cum-convicted inmate Thaksin Shinawatra.

Surrounded by policemen, the Students’ and People’s Network for Thailand Reform activists peacefully occupied a spot outside a building in the premises of Police Hospital where Thaksin has already stayed for two months and insisted that Police chief Pol.Gen.Torsak Sukwimon or any high-level government officials unambiguously respond as to whether the de facto Pheu Thai boss-cum-convicted inmate may be actually suffering from any illnesses which could justify his prolonged stay at the hospital in vicinity of the National Police headquarters.

The police kept the anti-Thaksin demonstrators at bay, saying no visitors other than his relatives are allowed to get into a private ward on the 14th floor of the hospital’s building to see him.

Amazing Thaskins total abuse of the law only attracts a dozen activists in protest.                          Disgracefull the lack of response from opposition MPs and  local news outlets to the contempt  for the legal system shown by a convicted criminal.

Thaksin has obviously made a deal with someone of power. Dare not speculate or say who without getting into trouble, that is why there is very little comment. from the press or opposition.

The truth... good luck with that.

Thaksin has bought his freedom, this is just a charade until he gets his pardon.

2 month already !

For such a long stay in hospital , he must be really sick .

Funny , that his sickness first appeared when he was imprisoned for just a few hours .

Thailand is losing it's face more by every day he stays in Hospital without a credible medical explanation .

Prove to the world that money can buy everything here .

Only the poor and not ' well connected ' are imprisoned , ' influential persons ' get hospital treatment and later , may be , house arrest ...?

Greetings from the red bull heir .

Terminal malingering with a severe allergy to iron bars is suspected 🤔

What a pathetic bunch of nobs.....nothing better to do than this!

Some Thai people just don't have a life!

His 'ailment' is aversion to being treated just like any other normal prisoner.

It is clear that very few people in Thailand really care.

I would suggest that no one outside Thailand cares at all.

Perhaps, on this count (if not others) Thailand's "face" is fairly secure!

Tell the protesters that whatever Thaksin's ailment is, it's catching and they'll all have to wear a mask.

Someone in authority telling them to wear a mask?

This bunch will wet themselves, that sort of thing is right up their street!

It is getting easier to see the infiltration of this site over the past years since the last coup.  Convicted by a kangaroo Court directed by the military is worth nothing until all those who take the country at the end of a gun by generals who become billionaires on very modest salaries. Let him without sin cast the first stone! Always remember he was a truly elected PM by the people and worked for the people and would be elected again and as was his sister.

I suspect he will be fit enough to go home.

I'm surprised he hasn't already been moved to house arrest pending his official pardon in the next two months

Well, sure.

Understood for some time now.

Almost futile, for those who are angst, to protest or discuss Thaksin's current affairs - yet.....here we are.

It is what it is.

They are mostly all conmen in my experience of dealing with them.

Add the very noticeable Farang circles to this list as well.
