Cabinet Approves Reduction of 2.50 Baht in Gasohol 91 Price

BANGKOK, Oct 24 (TNA) – The Thai Cabinet has given its approval to reduce the retail price of gasohol 91 by 2.50 baht per litre as proposed by the Ministry of Energy for a period of three months.

 

Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Pirapan Salirathavibhaga made this announcement via a Facebook post.

 

He reported that he has informed the Prime Minister and the Cabinet about the progress in the strategy to reduce gasoline prices, specifically for Gasohol 91, which was initially discussed during a Cabinet meeting last week.

I thought diesel prices were supposed to be down to 29.8 baht per ltr but still 30.5 up country where i am

All well and good. Keep those populist policies going. Thing is what the people wanted was democracy and Pita. This didn't happen and will not be forgotten no matter how much money you spend and borrow.

Yea...the govt pretty much has always focused on reducing diesel price with little to no relief for petrol users although there are LOTS and LOTS of petrol cars on the roads...practically every small to mid size car.  My wife's sister called today happy about the 2.5 baht/liter reduction because she drives a petrol car.
