Police officers from Wang Thonglang Station apprehended two young men accused of dealing methamphetamines. The suspects, both from Yingo District in the Narathiwat Province, attempted to flee upon spotting the officers.

They discarded their illicit drugs along the way, which were later recovered. Both confessed to intending to sell the drugs to teenagers.

The arrest took place in the middle of the night yesterday in Soi Ladprao, 122 Junction 7, Wang Thonglang District. The police were tipped off by a local who had noticed the two acting suspiciously near the entrance of Soi Ladprao 122 Junction 7.

The resident, identified as Yotsapon Chanthanachat, followed the suspects, identified as 26 year old Irfan Samae and 25 year old Abdulrohlorn Salawbaya who, upon noticing him, tried to escape. He called the police, who promptly arrived at the scene, reported KhaoSod.

The discarded items were identified as four plastic bags containing 800 red, flat, round methamphetamine pills stamped with the letters WY, wrapped in blue plastic. Upon questioning, both suspects admitted to possession of the drugs and their intention to distribute them among the youth in Soi Ramkhamhaeng 53.
