Try getting the voltage of the battrey tested at any road side shop with a multimeter ? I use such a device to check on my remote batteries etc when left unused. Sometimes just brushing the battery with plastic or a metal brush (the small remote ones)  give it an extra use of a few weeks or more.

My recently retired 12 year-old ASUS laptop was still good enough on the original, user replaceable battery after 5 years, but I thought that was pushing the envelope and getting a replacement when I needed it would be more difficult, so I ordered a spare. Both batteries are still good.

The new ASUS laptop has the built-in battery, but a YouTube showed how easy it is to replace when needed. I have already upgraded the SSD.
