ElephantEgo
Hi, my wife and I have been doing annual marriage extensions for me in-person for about 8 years now. I saw that Thailand might have setup a new website to let us do it online this year? https://online.vfsevisa.com/thai Does anyone know if it's working or any tips, summary or advice for proceeding on that? 1
Ben Zioner
If I was you i'd call my IO and ask them if they know about it. But I reckon I know the answer..
Will B Good
VFS Global is the company subcontracted by the UK Gov to handle visa applications to visit the UK. Can't imagine this is anything but a con. 1
freeworld
Probably application fees involved. Still need to go to immigration. Increasingly govt distancing themselves by subcontracting parts of their services to private enterprise. Snap of the webpage *Valid for select visa categories. Limited period offer. Popular Post BritTim
Most people consider the "online extension" service to be pretty useless. After using the services of VFS, you still need to go to Immigration to have the extension stamped into your passport. The extra cost has only one real benefit: VFS check your documents before you go, and this reduces the risk of a wasted trip to the immigration office. It is a hand holding exercise, and agents usually do it better (although they are more expensive). 1
ElephantEgo
Could this be useful in somewhere like Phuket? During peak tourism season, the IO is completely overrun and they exhaust queue cards daily. If I am able to submit all documents online and then just go in with my wife to get the stamp, it might be very useful and save time/paper. I don't mind the added cost if it helps me save time. What is the cost anyways?

ElephantEgo
Damn, I was hoping to avoid the mess at the immigration office this year (its insane in December!). But if the online stuff doesnt work, especially in Phuket then there is no hope! Sad!
