A tragic accident in Phuket has left the family of a young woman from Luxembourg seeking answers.

 

Nineteen-year-old Schintgen Cey-lan was killed in a road collision earlier this month, along with her American boyfriend, 21 year old Nickolas Joseph Ayoub.

Rubbish accumulation shock: Chiang Mai condo unveils year-long neglect

A year-long accumulation of rubbish in a Chiang Mai condominium sparked concern among other tenants when it led to a water leak. The tenant, a 40 year old postal worker, had been absent for a year, leaving behind a room filled with waste at a lodging on Mahidol Road, Nong Hoi, Mueang District, Chiang Mai.

IN A move to help resolve environmental problems BTS Group Holdings Plc announced today (Nov. 24) that it is gearing up to launch a new business with its partners to promote the use of E-motorcycles among bike taxi riders throughout Bangkok, Matichon newspaper said.

Zombie Thai firms holding back economic growth as they struggle just to pay interest on bank debt

Atchana Lamsam, the Senior Director of Financial Institutions, Risk Model and Analysis Department at the Bank of Thailand, revealed this week that loans for the third quarter at Thai banks contracted by 0.9% as the Economic Intelligence Centre (EIC) of Siam Commercial Bank drew attention to the impact of zombie firms on Thailand’s inability to enjoy dynamic GDP growth.

THE Thai embassy in Tel Aviv confirmed this morning (Nov. 25) that Hamas has released 10 Thai hostages and not 12 as originally reported with all of them undergoing a checkup at Shamir Medical Centre Hospital, Matichon newspaper said.
