Thai Police Raid Unveils Illegal Cigarettes and Alcohol Worth 75 Million Baht

National—On November 25th, 2023, Mr. Nitipat Songnetichawalit, the Prachinburi excise officer, and relevant officials publicly revealed a raid operation on illegal cigarettes and other alcoholic beverages worth more than 75 million baht at a postal center in Kabinburi, Prachinburi.


Nitipat stated to Prachinburi reporters that the excise officers and police officers conducted a search on suspected boxes that may contain contraband products at a postal center.

As a result, there were 78,880 packs of illegal foreign tobacco and 204 bottles of illegal wine liquor found during the search operation. Its estimated value was reportedly 75 million baht.
