Seventeen former Hamas Thai hostages arrive safely in Bangkok

Seventeen of the 32 Thai nationals taken hostage by Hamas during their attack on Israel on October 7, and who were released this week, arrived in Bangkok this afternoon. They are the first of the Thai hostages returning home.

 

They were accompanied on their journey by Thailand’s Foreign Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, who had traveled to Tel Aviv.

 

One of the Thais told reporters that they had kept their spirits up while being detained by Hamas, adding that their captors had treated them well, to a certain extent given the circumstances, and they could not describe it as bad.

 

Parnpree said he took the opportunity of being in Israel to meet senior Israeli government officials, thanking them for their hospitality, for taking care of the Thai nationals and for the role they played in negotiating with Hamas to secure the release of the Thais.

Except maybe for being kidnapped and held captive for nearly 2 months and slaughtering and hacking couple dozens of their compatriot and friend, its like some one beating very hard down on you and than they stop and you thing, Oh, that's very nice and kind of them to stop, we're fine now...

Oh really, the taking of innocent woman, children, babies and the elderly was justified.

 

Thai hostage negotiator thanks Iran for support - and says Hamas justified in taking captives

At the centre of the Thai negotiating team is Lerpong Sayed, a Thai Muslim who, in an exclusive broadcast interview, told Sky News Hamas was justified in taking hostages.

Dr Sayed in recent weeks has split his time between his home country and Iran, where he spoke to Hamas five times.

I'm sure that they tried to negotiate for the release of all Thai hostages. Then again....
