A bus transporting factory workers in the Bang Pa-in district of Ayutthaya veered off the road, flipped over, and plunged into a ditch, resulting in injuries to 19 people. The incident occurred at approximately 20:30 on December 7th.

Lieutenant Colonel Panyarat Ammata, Deputy Chief of Investigations at Ayutthaya Provincial Police Station, reported that the bus, with registration number 30-1490 Ayutthaya, overturned near the Asian Highway parallel lanes, just before reaching the Ayutthaya Central Prison in Hantarat Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, reported Daily News.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, providing urgent assistance and transporting the injured to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Hospital and nearby medical facilities.

Upon questioning, the 58-year-old bus driver, Mr. Komol Santat, explained that he was ferrying workers from a factory in Bang Pa-in to locations in Phachi District and Nong Tala District, Saraburi Province. While navigating the deteriorated and undulating road surface, the bus lost control due to a pothole, causing it to flip over and crash.

Law enforcement officials are currently examining the driver's testimony and conducting a detailed investigation into the accident, including interviewing the injured passengers. Of the 19 injured, there are two male and 17 female victims, with one in critical condition.

Shouldn't this be the driver lost control of the bus due to poor driving skills or driving too fast after hitting a pot-hole .............

The bus lost control? Unless it was one of those driverless buses, it was in fact the driver lost control......

Pretty sure that's wrong.  Should be "Hantra" /hǎntraa/ meaning a kind of dessert.

Just another excuse for incompetent driving.

Flipped over by a pothole! Must have been the size of a bomb crater

I can nor believe this type of accidents are happening over and over again in Thailand. Not even in Africa it is this bad.
