Yesterday (December 14, 2023), reporters visited the Sukhumvit Soi 4, also known as Soi Nana, in the Khlong Toei district of Bangkok to assess its readiness and ambiance ahead of the announcement of an entertainment venue policy allowing operations until 4 AM starting today (December 15).

 

Upon inspection, it was observed that tourists were gradually arriving to explore the area, starting from early evening. As the night progressed, the atmosphere became livelier, with a significant presence of foreign tourists, reported INN.

 

Preliminary findings from the survey revealed the presence of entertainment venues, including more than 20 shops offering a variety of services, such as restaurants and stores.

 

In terms of security measures, each venue was found to have stationed staff at entry and exit points to inspect identification cards and rigorously check individuals entering for any weapons.

 

This move marks a significant development in the local entertainment scene, reflecting a shift towards a more vibrant and active nightlife on Soi Nana.

i do not know about you all. But i have been to soi nana many times and have NEVER seen someone checking ID and checking for weapons except at the gogo bars where they glance in your bags and occasionally ask a woman to produce an ID. Soi Nana is more than just that one small stretch where all the gogo bars are placed. 

Sounds a bit more like the good old days...
