Popular Post webfact
On December 14, 2023, Pol. Col. Theerachai Chamnamo, the commander of the Crime Suppression Division Region 2, revealed that authorities successfully apprehended a suspect linked to a heinous crime that had remained unsolved for over a decade. The suspect, identified as Mr. Sama or Nhu Ingthana, had been on the run since November 11, 2011, facing charges of "conspiracy to murder" in Trat province, reported Siam Rath. Picture: Siam Rath After committing the initial crime in Trat, Mr. Sama fled to Nakhon Sawan, where he committed another murder during the Loy Krathong festival in 2012. A subsequent arrest warrant was issued, labeled 594/2012, for "intentional homicide." Evading authorities, he continued his escape to Southern Thailand, eluding capture for more than 12 years. Picture: Siam Rath The breakthrough came on December 14, 2023, when diligent police efforts traced Mr. Sama to Koh Samui, Surat Thani. A coordinated operation resulted in his arrest, uncovering a semi-automatic firearm, caliber 9mm, in his possession. Following the arrest, investigators from Crime Suppression Division Region 2 brought the suspect to Trat Police Station, and a simultaneous operation led to the seizure of the weapon at Bo Phud Police Station, Koh Samui, for further legal proceedings. spidermike007
I lived on Samui for nearly a decade. I knew people who bragged about being fugitives, I knew guys who had friends that were fugitives from the law. Samui was considered one of the best places in the world to stay if you were wanted by the law. I don't know if that reality still exists to this day, but it sure did for a long time. The police are your friends on Samui, as long as you have cash. They are some of the most corrupt in Thailand.

In normal countries like the UK their is no time limit and they still catch people or find out who the murderer was after 30+ yrs.
