Thailand news - The second large fireworks explosion in 6 months in Thailand, this time in Suphan Buri, just north of Bangkok. 23 confirmed dead at this stage.

 

Predictions for 40 million foreign tourists this year, which would be the same as 2019 numbers, Thaksin Shinawatra would be eligible for parole soon under new guidelines. The former Thai transport minister has been found guilty of hiding his ownership of a company that was awarded millions of baht in contractions by his ministry - on top of 3 other BhumJaiThai MPs who have also been found guilty over the past week in regards to trying to mislead the parliament.

Who says 'Merry Christmas' on 18th January?  Well this guy does.  Doooh.

And Christmas trees should be taken down on 6th January, twelfth night. (And probably put up again around 1st October!)

There are some dramatic 'before' and 'after' photos.

 

If there is anything positive in this disaster it is that the factory was situated remotely (from inhabitants) in rice fields.

 

The explosion at a fireworks factory in Nathirawat province last July was in a populated area, with fewer deaths but far more injuries.
