He was speaking at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, after returning from the World Economic Forum in Switzerland. Speaking on Wednesday, Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat also admitted that the scheme, originally set for May, will be postponed so the government can consider all information involved. The government is seeking the issuance of a bill to authorise the borrowing of Bt500 billion to fund the scheme, despite the fact that, during the May general election campaign, the Pheu Thai party promised to use the national budget, not a loan, to support the scheme.
