A committee is probing a case where a Thai teacher subjected 36 seven to eight year olds to an outrageous punishment of using a safety pin to pierce the inner lips of every child in the primary 3 class at Wat Dan Samrong School in Mueang district, Samut Prakan.

The shocking act unfolded when a 27 year old Thai teacher, distressed by a chewing gum mishap, sought assistance from her 50 year old colleague.

On the morning of January 25, chaos ensued when no student confessed to spitting out the gum that the younger teacher accidentally stepped on.

The repercussions were swift as one parent filed a complaint with the local police yesterday. Concerns echoed among other parents, fearing potential infections from the unsanitary act. Reacting promptly, the school director suspended both teachers from their duties after their admission of guilt.

That is an unconscionably act of violence against children.  Whatever.  We'll never hear what the final outcome is.

Because they majority of Thai people only care about money, they won't demand justice for their kids. They will just see it a an opportunity for financial compensation.

Not both? Like in any other country?

If this happened to my son, I'd have a hard time not finding a way to retaliate.

And how do you know the feelings of the "majority of Thai people" when it comes to someone assaulting their children?

No sex involved, so no harm done.

Indeed. These two teachers should be before a judge on charges of Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH).

W T F ... file a complain my A$$, I'd show up at the school, and bring bail money with me.

I had an issue with one teacher at daughter's school, when she told her she would do the shaving thing that they like doing if her hair was compliant, which it was, just not to that teacher's liking.

I told the teacher I'd shave her whole F'g head if she touched my daughter.

Right.

Just a prick in the mouth.

I suggest someone should demonstrate to the teacher that that was a bad idea.

When you read something like this, you wonder what kind of training Thai teachers had.

Do they even have training that is accepted in other countries?

  • Popular Post

If they did that to my child i would give them something a bit more serious than a pierced lip.

 It is called: missed vocation.

You know: when as a kid, your dream was to be a piercing shop owner, but your parents forced you to become a teacher!

That will hurt these barbarians more than anything else though.

My first school years was in a convent taught by catholic nuns.  The feather duste (cane) was the prescribed method but I remember some who used to like to pinch in sensitive areas.  We had one who even used to bite sometimes but nothing was ever said because it must have been God's work she was doing.

This goes to show the intelligence of the teacher, "It was a new pin" with no idea how dieses, and viruses are spread, yet alone how sadistic it is, how do they ever get jobs.

Prosecute for 36 counts of assault and aggravated battery on a child. They need some prison time for this nonsense.

The article says the police will press charges, but I have never, ever heard of that actually happening when a teacher commits violence against a child.
