There are a few beaches on the East coast from Rayong that are infamous for 'riptides', including Mae Rumphung, and Koh Chang. People drown there every year, unfortunately. Has anyone heard the same about Koh Samet?

I do not know about rips on Koh Samut but we have a couple of beaches with rips that I warn tourists about here on Samui. We do loose someone most years.
