BANGKOK, Feb 2 (TNA) — January 27th is the annual International Holocaust Remembrance Day, designated by the United Nations to preserve the memory of the Holocaust, in honor of six million Jews, including one million children, and five million others who were systematically and brutally murdered by the Nazis during WWII.

 

The Embassy of Israel in Bangkok organized a gathering to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day starting with the lighting of six candles in memory of the six million victims.

 

The candles were lit by Ambassadors of Israel, the Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany and UN Resident Coordinator in Thailand.

It is horrific what happened and time to move on but they are virtually doing the same thing in Palestine .

Nonsense, Israel is only reacting in defence targeting Hamas who are dedicated to killing all Jews., there is no country called Palestine and never has been. What was the mandate with the same name is Jordan, Israel and Gaza. Muslim states occupy over 98% of territory in the middle east, but they want it all.

It’s very good that they have remembrance Day for the holocaust over 6 million people with slaughtered and the world did nothing the writing was on the wall. Other countries knew it was happening and did nothing so to remember the past. I think it’s a very important thing Israel was invaded by terrorist and they reacted to it. That’s why this war in the movies has started, Hamas wants to kill every Jewish person so they’re protecting themselves

This does not justify Israel behaving like a terrorist group and taking revenge on the Palestinian civilian population in Gaza for the atrocities of Hamas! Shame on you!

If Israel's war was with the people of Gaza, the casualty lists would be way longer. There would be no warnings. No time to evacuate. No pauses in the fighting. No aid whatsoever let in.

  The belief is that God choose Jews to follow their Religion 3000 years ago , Christians and Muslims then  came along and borrowed the Jews  God and they (Christians and Muslims) now both believe that they are the true believers/followers of the Jews  God

Are you suggesting that the inhabitants of Gaza do not support the Hamas terrorist leadership? If so surely they should be assisting the Israelis in destroying Hamas. If there is however a wide measure of support then the Israeli campaign seems justified.

Defence is not revenge, and there are no cases of atrocities after 7th Oct, unless you believe Hamas propaganda, which it seems like you do. There is not justification for the sickening atrocities of Oct the 7th, of course they play the victim now they are paying for their inhumanity and hatred of all Jews.

Israel behaving like terrorist group? did the terrorist warned the murdered 1,300 civilian  that they coming by

dropping leaflets?did the Israeli soldiers raped, mutilated and burned bodies? and then kidnapped old

people babies and foreign workers? BUT at least you admit that the hamas DID committed atrocities and that is

a big step for all the denyers here...

This has wondered so far off topic. We all have our opinions on world events, but we should all be able to agree that the systematic killing of 6 million people for no other reason than some one didn't like them, should be remembered. 

 

It's a great shame, in my view, that little or nothing was done, said or put in place for the huge numbers killed in pogroms and other mass killings, like in Cambodia...

 

One asks the question, does humanity learn nothing?
