A Thai woman went missing after an argument with her husband in their car at 3am on Sunday. The husband claimed that his wife jumped out of the car and ran away from him, with the GPS indicating her last known location in Chachoengsao province.

A friend of the missing 27 year old Thai woman, Chonlada Muthurong, took to social media yesterday, February 19 to share a missing person poster and urged netizens to notify her if they have any information on Chonlada.

The friend mentioned that Chonlada was typically active on social media but, from 3am on February 18 onwards, she lost contact with everyone. Chonlada was last seen wearing a black and white mini dress, according to reports.

The friend clarified the situation publicly, explaining that Chonlada and her friends had celebrated the birthday of Chonlada’s husband, Sirichai Rakthong, a 33 year old man, at a restaurant on Pradit Manutham Road, also known as Liab duan Ramindra Road, in Bangkok.

The restaurant closed at 1am and each person travelled home separately. Chonlada returned home with Sirichai and their daughter in their white BMW sedan. An argument erupted in the car, prompting Chonlada to flee and subsequently vanish.

Sirichai commented on his friend’s post that he filed a missing persons’ complaint at Pak Kret Police Station. He mentioned checking Chonlada’s GPS location, which indicated she was in Chachoengsao province. Sirichai admitted to physically assaulting Chonlada during the argument.

According to Sirichai and Chonlada’s friend, Chonlada had run away from Sirichai several times before, usually taking her daughter and staying with friends for a few days before returning home.

Repeated arguments, assaults

Sirichai later spoke in an interview with KhaoSod, stating that Chonlada had opened the car door and leapt out on Khlong Prapa Road. He halted the car, retrieved her, and resumed driving. However, Chonlada once again jumped out of the car near their residence, crossing the road to evade him.

Chonlada’s mother, Pen, shared with Channel 7 her confusion regarding Sirichai’s lack of active efforts to locate Chonlada following her disappearance. Pen noted that Sirichai implied Chonlada might not return, suggesting she would move on. Although Sirichai assured Pen he would persist in searching for Chonlada, Pen expressed her distrust in her son-in-law.

Pen disclosed that she also discovered from Chonlada’s friends that Sirichai had assaulted Chonlada multiple times, including incidents of choking and placing his foot on her face. Witnessing Sirichai’s abusive behaviour caused Pen to lose faith in him.

The most recent update from Chonlada’s friend indicates that Chonlada has yet to make contact with anyone, and there is no new information from the police regarding the case.

Stay away from the animal... we all know this usually ends badly.

Take the daughter away from him, re-unite her with the mother in a secret location.

A Thai man in Chachoengsao admitted to the brutal murder of his wife after her remains were found in a rubber plantation.

Initially reporting her missing, the 33 year old man named Sirichai later disclosed the violent altercation that led to him taking 27 year old Chollada’s life yesterday, February 20, and attempting to conceal the crime by burning her body in Prachinburi province.

Before her disappearance, Sirichai reported to Pak Kret police in Nonthaburi that Chollada, also known by her nickname Noon, vanished after a quarrel on their way home from a birthday party. He claimed she exited their car and took a taxi, marking the last time he saw her. Local authorities and the community were engaged in the search, with the case making headlines due to its suspicious nature.

However, the investigation took a turn when police questioned Sirichai at the Pak Kret Police Station. Under intense interrogation, he confessed to killing Chollada with a rock, following a heated argument on their way back from the party. He then placed her body in his luxury car, a white BMW with the licence plate 6644 Bangkok, and drove to a house in Nonthaburi before taking the body to Prachinburi for incineration.

This revelation came after authorities were notified of human remains, including a skull and bones, found burned in a rubber plantation in Prachinburi’s Sri Mahapho district. Amongst the remains, a bracelet was discovered, identical to one Chollada was known to wear. Forensic experts were then called to confirm the identity of the remains, reported KhaoSod.

Further examination of the crime scene by forensic officials is ongoing to definitively establish the identity of the remains. Meanwhile, police have been piecing together the timeline and motives behind the murder.

In related news, Thailand’s Department of Special Investigation (DSI) is offering a reward of 2 million baht in a bid to encourage anyone with any potentially helpful information to aid in the resolution of a long-standing murder case. The murder victim, Tomoko Kawashita from Japan, was only 27 years old when her life was tragically cut short in Sukhothai Thain 17 years ago.

I never cease to be amazed and confused at the partners some women pick and stay with despite constant assaults. I just don't get it.

Some of those so called men do anything to control their victims by threatening to kill them or

their children or family.

Not much of a social program for these victims, some are just too scared also and keep pretending

all is ok.

Maybe a bit of Stockholm syndrome also.

It is high time the government does something about cases like this,it seems to happen at least every week.

And where was her family?Any able bodied brothers?

I do know of one case where the killer in a similar situation was released

from prison and shot the same day.

Two out of control persons married... what could possibly go wrong.

Huh? Why on earth would you say that?

You think the woman was out of control because she could see that she had married a man who would easily turn violent as he had in the past and so tried to run away from him even if it meant leaving her child alone with him in the car? I guess seeing as how it turned out she was absolutely right to fear this monster.

What sort of a person observes this story and comes to that sort of a conclusion? I am so pleased to observe that you're one of those on the opposite side of the political divide. With friends like you, who needs enemies?
