Man wanted for fatal drive-by shooting surrenders in Phuket

The prime suspect in a drive-by shooting in the Phuket sub-district of Chergntalay has turned himself in. The 18 year old was wanted for the murder of a 21 year old man gunned down at a petrol station on the night of Friday, March 15.

Three workers injured in central Thailand construction collapse

Three workers were seriously injured in a devastating incident that unfolded yesterday at a water gate construction site in the Phutthamonthon district of Nakhon Pathom province. A concrete beam collapsed, trapping three workers under the debris. It took a half-hour rescue operation before the victims could be freed. Two of the workers sustained severe injuries, while another suffered minor injuries. Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the collapse.

Thai police seize 400,000 litres of smuggled oil in Gulf of Thailand

Coastal vessels carrying a whopping total of 400,000 litres of smuggled oil were apprehended in the Gulf of Thailand. The seizure took place off the coast of Sattahip district in the eastern province of Chon Buri. The interception, which occurred this morning, March 19, was a result of a joint patrol operation by the Marine and Crime Suppression Division police.

The off-duty paramedic reportedly intervened on the EVA Air BR67 flight from Bangkok to London on Friday, March 15, to assist the man who had attempted to take his own life in the aeroplane bathroom.

Cabinet approves Bt300m for small projects in north
