Six brands of personal care items banned

The Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) has banned six brands of toothpastes, shampoo and face mask after finding that they  were on the market without permits.

 

The ban was issued after Thai FDA officials and immigration police raided a business in the Bang Na area, which had been using a Chinese influencerto sell the products recently.

 

The products have no TFDA permits, are not registered as cosmetics and have no Thai labels, as required by local regulations. The Chinese national(s) involved also had no work permit(s).

A nice little dig there about more foreigners not having work permits, which of course has absolutely no effect whatsoever on the products' quality.

The OP might also want to have a quick proof read of paragraph #2.

If they did any real investigation they would like to find hundreds upon hundreds of whitening products, skin creams and other concoctions absolutely loaded but toxic, carcinogenic and harmful ingredients. Do they ever look into these kind of things, do they care as long as they're getting paid?

What concerns me is who the F needs translated instructions on how to use toothpaste?

That’s a separate matter. I sell food related products and had to go through steps to register, validate claims etc and pay the fees. These guys by-pass the steps and deserve any punishment they get. Regarding toxic ingredients Thai FDA copies pretty much everything from US and European FDA. Every ingredient used must be on the approved list.
