62 Burmese Nationals Apprehended in Illegal Immigration Bust in Kanchanaburi

Kanchanaburi—At 6:00 AM, on March 21st, 2024, Thong Pha Phum police received a report from an anonymous source that a large number of immigrants would illegally cross the Thai border by boats in Vajiralongkorn Reservoir, Thong Pha Phum, Kanchanaburi.

The Thong Pha Phum patrol rangers and relevant agencies inspected the reported area and discovered scattered human footprints heading deep into the forest. The officers followed the tracks and found a large number of illegal Burmese immigrants hiding within a hilly forest on the side of the road.

 

The officers then secured the area and entrapped the illegal immigrants. As a result, 62 Burmese individuals were taken into custody.

I do empathize with them, but whoever takes their money are the one that need catching 10k- 25k each 62 at a time, how did they expect not to get caught or was that the Agents plan.

Good point, someone is profiteering very nicely by trafficking people.
